The evolution of a grand lady: the Mary Ogilvy Homes Society, 1946–2006
I was pleased to be asked to write this book. My mother was on the board of the Home for many years, and she and my grandmother both ended their days in it. When Mum was there, I like the Home and their attitude to the residents.
Old age care was another topic I knew little about as far as the history went, and it was interesting to find out. This was a short history, and I enjoyed doing the research and writing it. As with the Clarence football club, it was a pleasure to honour the enthusiastic volunteer work of so many people over the years. Like many of my books, this was well-designed by Artemis.
